PFAS Products Statement
At STRYD Performance, every piece we release is considered for how it performs, how it lasts, and how it fits a more conscious approach to what we wear every day. Our PFAS-free range is part of that.
Which products this covers
This statement applies to four products:
ALL DAY LEGGING LOVERS, MOVE IT ACTIVE TIGHTS, FLEX-FORM TIGHTS, FLEX-FORM FITTED TRAINING SHORTS.
It is not a brand-wide claim. Where a product is not named here, we make no PFAS claim about it.
What we mean by PFAS-free
These pieces are made with fabric that is free from intentionally added PFAS. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of synthetic chemicals long used in textiles for water and stain resistance. We have chosen not to use those treatments on this range, in favour of more responsible alternatives. It is a considered choice for people who want a lower-tox, more mindful approach to what they wear all day.
The independent testing behind it
The fabric used in this range has been tested by SGS, one of the largest independent testing and certification companies in the world. The testing was carried out in August 2026 using EN 17681-1:2025, the current European standard method for detecting PFAS in textiles, with analysis by LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS.
The sample tested was the knitted activewear fabric used in this range (70% nylon, 30% elastane). Across the full panel of substances covered by that method, more than sixty individual PFAS compounds and their related forms, every result came back as not detected. The laboratory's overall conclusion was a pass.

What the testing does and does not cover
We think it matters to be clear about the limits of a claim like this.
- The test covers the fabric itself. It does not separately test trims, thread or elastic.
- "Not detected" means below the reporting limits of the method, which is the most sensitive standardised textile PFAS test currently available. It is not the same as a guarantee of absolute zero.
- The result reflects the production it was drawn from. We ask for testing again as we reorder fabric.
- STRYD Performance does not hold its own certification mark. This testing sits with our fabric supply, and we ask for it as part of our checks before a product goes on sale. We will not tell you we are certified when we are not.
Our process
The fabric for this range is sourced from an established manufacturing partner that works to strict international chemical safety standards. Before a product in this range goes on sale, we ask for current compliance documentation and testing against recognised frameworks such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100 or equivalent. The SGS testing described above is part of that due diligence.
Why we did this
Our PFAS-free range is built for the person who lives in their activewear and already reads the label on everything else. We would rather make a small, specific claim we can show you than a broad one you have to take on trust.
